Asia Pacific airports dominate world’s 10 best

LONDON – Seoul, Korea’s Incheon International Airport secured the top position as the world’s best airport at the recent World Airport Awards 2009. Seoul was followed by Hong Kong and Singapore, which were number two and number three, respectively.

Other Asia Pacific airports in the top ten are Kansai (number six), Kuala Lumpur (number seven), Centair Nagoya (number nine) and Auckland (number ten).

From Europe, Zurich was fourth, Munich fifth and Amsterdam seventh.

The awards were based on a survey conducted by London-based independent aviation research institute, Skytrax, and had a total of 8.6 million respondents.
